Students who could not appear for CUET or did not score well still have a chance to study at Delhi University. While CUET is mandatory for admission to regular undergraduate courses, the university also offers several undergraduate, postgraduate and skill-based programmes through its Open and Distance Learning (ODL) mode that do not require a CUET score. Admissions to these courses are based on academic merit rather than an entrance exam.
Which DU Programmes Do Not Require CUET?
Delhi University offers admission without CUET through three major platforms:
•   School of Open Learning (SOL)
•   Campus of Open Learning (COL)
•   Non-Collegiate Women’s Education Board (NCWEB)
Each programme has its own eligibility criteria and admission process.
What Is The School Of Open Learning (SOL)?
The School of Open Learning (SOL) offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses without requiring a CUET score. Admission to undergraduate programmes is based on Class 12 marks, while postgraduate admissions are granted according to graduation marks. Students do not attend regular classes on campus. Instead, academic support classes are organised on weekends at selected Delhi University colleges.
What Courses Are Offered Through The Campus Of Open Learning (COL)?
The Campus of Open Learning (COL) offers professional, vocational, certificate and skill based programmes ranging from one month to one year. Many courses offer admission based on Class 12 marks, while several programmes follow a first-come, first served admission process.
Who Can Apply Through NCWEB?
The Non-Collegiate Women’s Education Board (NCWEB) is meant only for women candidates who are residents of Delhi. Admissions are offered without CUET and are based on the best four subjects’ marks in Class 12. Like SOL, weekend classes are conducted at selected Delhi University colleges.
What Are The Important Admission Dates?
Delhi University has already started the admission process for SOL and COL for the 2026–27 academic session.
•   Last date to apply: July 24, 2026
•   First admission list: July 27, 2026
Eligible candidates can complete the application process online through the official Delhi University admission portal.
Who Should Apply?
Students who missed CUET, were unable to secure admission through regular counselling, or prefer flexible learning can consider these programmes. These courses allow students to earn a Delhi University degree while studying through distance or weekend learning mode.
