Delhi University will not release traditional cut-off lists for CUET UG 2026 admissions. Instead, it will publish Minimum Allocation Scores after each round, showing the lowest scores needed for different courses and colleges.
With the CUET UG 2026 results now out, lakhs of students are waiting for the next stage of admissions, especially for Delhi University (DU), one of the most preferred universities in the country. Many candidates are now asking whether DU will release cut-off lists this year and what scores may be needed to get admission.
Does Delhi University release cut-off lists after CUET?
Before the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) was introduced, Delhi University admissions were based on Class 12 board marks. Colleges used to release several cut-off lists, and for popular courses, the cut-offs often reached 99 per cent or even higher.
After the introduction of CUET, Delhi University moved to a centralised admission process through the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS). Because of this change, the traditional cut-off lists are no longer released.
Instead, the university now publishes Minimum Allocation Scores after every admission round. These scores show the lowest CUET score at which a student received admission to a particular course and college.
In the 2025 admission cycle, Delhi University released detailed college-wise and course-wise Minimum Allocation Scores after the first round of seat allotment. These scores worked like cut-offs and helped students understand the level of competition.
The data showed that some of the most popular courses, including B.Com (Hons.), Political Science, Economics, History and Psychology, required very high CUET scores.

According to the first-round admission data for the Unreserved (UR) category in 2025, some of the most competitive college and course combinations were:

These figures show how competitive admissions are in Delhi University. Popular North Campus courses needed scores close to or above 900, while many sought-after South Campus courses closed in the 800-850 range.
What can CUET UG 2026 candidates expect?
Delhi University is expected to continue with the CSAS admission process this year. Therefore, students should not expect the old-style cut-off lists.
Instead, after each round of admissions, the university is likely to release Minimum Allocation Scores showing the actual scores at which seats were allotted in different colleges and courses.
For students preparing their preference lists, last year’s scores can provide a useful idea of the competition level. However, the scores for 2026 admissions may change depending on factors such as the number of applicants, available seats, reservation policies and the overall performance of candidates in CUET.
