More than 79,000 candidates have accepted their undergraduate seat allocations at the University of Delhi, according to the university’s latest admissions update.
As of July 18, a total of 79,404 candidates had accepted their allocated seats. Of these, 10,746 had completed the fee payment process, while 26,061 applications had been approved for payment.
Candidates can accept their allocated seats until 11.59pm on July 18, 2026. Colleges are processing documents and candidates are completing the required fee payments to confirm their admissions.
The figures were released by the University of Delhi’s Admission Branch as the undergraduate admission process for the 2026-27 academic session continues.
In the first round of admissions, the university offered 93,033 seat allocations across 221 programmes at 67 colleges, covering 1,393 programme-college combinations. Of the candidates who received allocations, 42,019 are male and 51,014 are female.
The shortlisted candidates are required to accept their allocated seats within the stipulated deadline before the admission process moves to the subsequent stages.
