Patna: Patliputra University (PPU) on Thursday released the third merit list for admission to undergraduate first-semester courses for the 2026-30 academic session. Shortlisted candidates have been asked to complete the admission process by Aug 6, while document verification and validation will continue till Aug 7.PPU dean of students’ welfare (DSW) Rajeev Ranjan said candidates can check their admission status on the university websites. Students have been advised to complete all admission formalities within the stipulated deadline to avoid inconvenience.The university also released the first merit list for admission to self-financed UG courses for the 2026-30 session. Candidates selected for these courses have likewise been asked to complete admissions by Aug 6 and get their documents verified by Aug 7.Admissions are being conducted for the four-year undergraduate programme under the Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) in line with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. The process is underway across constituent and affiliated colleges under PPU. Ranjan said the university offers around 1.25 lakh seats in regular UG first-semester courses.A large number of students from Patna and Nalanda districts have applied for admission this year. The merit lists were prepared on the basis of applications received and course-specific eligibility criteria. Students have been advised to regularly visit the admission portal for updates on vacant seats, subsequent merit lists and other admission-related information.
