Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) has published the first merit list for UG Admissions 2026 on its official admission portal. Candidates who applied for undergraduate courses can now check their seat allotment by logging in with their application number and password.
The merit list includes details such as the candidate’s name, course, category, score, and seat allotment status.
Students who have been allotted a seat must complete the admission process before the deadline to confirm their admission.
Seat confirmation and fee payment
Selected candidates must block their allotted seat by August 6, 2026.
The pre-enrolment registration and fee payment process will be open from August 3 to August 6, 2026.
Candidates must also complete physical document verification during this period. Those who fail to finish the admission process on time may lose their allotted seat.
JNU will also release the third merit list for PG admissions on August 5, 2026.

- Log in using your application number and password.
- Check your seat allotment status.
- Download the merit list for future use.
What selected candidates need to do
Candidates whose names are included in the first merit list should:
- Complete document verification with their original certificates.
- Pay the admission fee before the deadline.
- Finish all admission formalities by August 6, 2026.
Students are advised to keep all required documents ready and complete the process on time. If they do not complete document verification or fee payment by the deadline, their allotted seat may be cancelled and offered to another candidate in the next admission round.
