This is the first year that the University of Economics and Law is recruiting students using a comprehensive selection method, with the cutoff score calculated on a 100-point scale.

The highest benchmark score for the international logistics major is 90.01.

According to Mr. Cu Xuan Tien, Head of Admissions and Student Affairs at the University of Economics and Law, the 2026 admission cutoff scores for the university will range from 65.01 to 90.01 points.

The major with the highest admission score is International Business (specializing in Supply Chain Management and International Logistics) with 90.01 points – meaning that on average, candidates had to achieve more than 9 points per converted subject to be admitted.

The entire university has 6 majors with cutoff scores of 85 points or higher, 19 out of 38 majors/specializations have cutoff scores of 80 points or higher, and only 5 specializations have scores between 65-70 (accounting for 13%).

By field, the average admission score for business and management majors is 79.91 points, with the highest being international business – logistics at 90.01 points; the average score for economics majors is 77.76 points, with the highest being international economics – foreign trade at 84.76 points; the average score for law majors is 73.53 points, with the highest being economic law – international commercial law at 83.24 points.

According to the comprehensive admission method, the admission score is calculated on a 100-point scale, including academic performance (a combination of the results of the National University of Ho Chi Minh City’s aptitude test, the results of the high school graduation exam , high school transcript scores, bonus points, and priority points).

The weighting for candidates with all the academic performance components from 2026 is as follows: competency assessment (55%), high school graduation (35%), and academic transcript (10%).

The number of high-achieving candidates registering continues to increase sharply.

In 2026, the university will enroll students in 38 majors/specializations across four fields: economics, business, management, and law; including three specializations for the first year of enrollment: Digital Economy, Accounting and Data Analytics, and Law and Technology.

According to Mr. Tien, on the Ministry of Education and Training ‘s admissions portal, the school received 38,828 applications from 20,518 candidates. 6,024 candidates listed the school as their first choice, and 16,613 applications were among the top three choices.

Nearly 90% of applicants to the school have achieved good (excellent) academic performance in high school; the average grade point average for 12th-grade students is 8.64 (8.58 in 2025). The average combined score of the three subjects in the high school graduation exam for applicants to the school is 21.55 points – an increase compared to 21.18 in 2025 and higher than the national average by 2.2 to 3.0 points depending on the subject combination.

In particular, successful candidates admitted to the school achieved an average score of 25.23 points for the three subjects in the high school graduation exam – equivalent to more than 8.4 points per subject.

In the aptitude assessment channel, 84.8% of applicants to the university had exam scores, with an average score of 802.6/1200 – an increase of 27.6 points compared to 2025; the highest score achieved was 1099 points. Notably, this exam had nearly 194,000 candidates, with an average score of 670.9 – successful applicants to UEL achieved an average score of 959.8 points out of 1200, and all exceeded the 916-point mark (placing them in the top 8% of candidates with the highest scores in the exam).

Candidates’ English proficiency reached a new record: the system recorded 10,808 international English certificates, of which 9,622 candidates submitted IELTS certificates (average score of 6.29). The number of candidates achieving an IELTS score of 8.0 or higher was 305 (an increase of approximately 70% compared to 2025), and the number of candidates with a score of 6.0 or higher was 7,116.

In the international certificate group, nearly 490 candidates used SAT scores with an average of approximately 1400/1600, including one candidate who achieved a perfect SAT score of 1600. Notably, 1486 successful candidates had IELTS scores of 5.0 or higher (accounting for nearly 50% of the quota).

August 12th: Sending school email account information via text message; organizing an online talk show to guide students through the enrollment process.

August 12-16: New students confirm their enrollment and register online according to the school’s instructions.

August 19-20: English proficiency assessment for entry level.

From the 7th to the 9th: Submit paper applications directly at the school according to the schedule.

September 5th (tentative): Opening Ceremony for Course 26

Candidates who do not confirm their enrollment within the specified time will have their admission cancelled. After completing online enrollment, candidates will be guided to prepare for in-person enrollment procedures according to the published schedule.
