IIT Kanpur invites applications to the second cycle of its Online Postgraduate Programmes. The M.Tech (Online) programmes include Wireless Networks and Machine Learning; RF Engineering; Microelectronics and VLSI; Construction Engineering and Project Management; Sustainable Energy Technologies; AI and Machine Learning, and Smart Grid. The M.Sc (Online) programmes include Economics and Data Analytics, and PG Diploma (Online) in Cyber Security. Graduates with a minimum CPI of 5.5 or 55% marks in their qualifying degree, and valid national exam scores, such as GATE or JAM can apply. The University of Sheffield, the U.K., invites applications for its MSc Pharmaceutical Engineering course, starting this September.

Eligibility: Three- or four-year Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university in a relevant subject. Degrees in the following subject areas are accepted: Any Engineering, Science or Technology discipline. Overall IELTS score of 6.5 with a minimum of 6.0 in each component, or equivalent.

Scholarship: Overseas fee-paying students 6 will automatically receive a £3,000 tuition fee discount (subject to eligibility) if they accept their offer from the university by July 7.

Imarticus Learning completed placements for students enrolled in its Certificate in Investment Banking Operations programme, Postgraduate Financial Analysis Programme, and Postgraduate Programme in Data Science and Analytics / Machine Learning with GenAI. Recruiters included Wells Fargo, Nomura, Societe Generale, Citi, Northern Trust, and MSCI, among others.

KL Deemed to be University concluded placements for the batch of 2025–26. Google, Amazon, Hitachi, Toshiba, ServiceNow, and JPMorgan Chase, among others, were the recruiters.

Galgotias University received over 4,700 placement offers for the batch of 2026. Recruiters included Cisco, Tata Technologies, Vivo, Salesforce, L and T, HP-Intel, EY, KPMG, and PwC, to name a few.

Shoolini University, with Sirena Technologies, has launched a Robotics and AI Centre under its Department of AI, Computer and Data Science, and introduced industrial-grade robotics and humanoids to better align student training with industry needs.

The UGC, Government of India has granted permission to Birbeck, University of London (UoL) to establish its campus in Bengaluru. It will offer Indian students access to globally-recognised UoL degrees at around 60% lower cost.

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) and CSE (AI-ML) at Gopalan College of Engineering and Management hosted ALGO-RHYTHM 3.0, its technical fest, in which students from across 33 institutions participated.

IIM Kashipur concluded the second international conference on Sustainability Management Strategies for India’s Future. Research paper presentations, discussions, keynote sessions, and more, were part of the conference.

Researchers from Nagaland University, Berhampur University, and Saveetha Medical College recently identified traditional herbal formulation used by the Konyak tribe of Nagaland for its anti-cancer potential. The findings were published in the Microchemical Journal.

IIM Lucknow researchers published a study in the Journal of International Financial Markets, Institutions and Money examining how banks’ lending to carbon-intensive sectors affects their long-term financial health and efficiency. IIIT Delhi and the Manekshaw Centre of Excellence in National Security Studies and Research hosted Space Dialogue 2026 and the IIIT Delhi Space Technology Centre was launched. The University of Liverpool and IISc Bengaluru signed an MoU to create a joint seed fund for collaborative research on global challenges and strengthen PhD training for early-career researchers.

Chitkara University signed an MoU with JAN AI, to advance innovation, entrepreneurship, and inclusive access to AI.

Merck partnered with Manipal Academy of Higher Education to strengthen industry-academia collaboration and develop future-ready talent for the healthcare sector, and launched the Catalyst programme to encourage talent in R and D.

PhysicsWallah collaborated with Microsoft to introduce certification programmes in Generative AI, Data Analytics, and Digital Marketing, and will be delivered by PW Skills, its skilling arm. The curriculum will integrate Microsoft’s tools, including Microsoft Copilot, Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, GitHub, and Microsoft Office 365.

The Department of Mathematics (Shift – I), Justice Basheer Ahmed Sayeed College for Women (Autonomous), Chennai, signed an MoU with CSC Computer Education, Chennai to facilitate a certificate programme in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science with Python Basics for third-year B.Sc. Maths students.
