How To Download Your University Admission Letter After KUCCPS Placement

Universities across the country have started releasing admission letters to students placed through the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) for the 2026/2027 academic year.

Following the release of the placement results, several universities have activated their admission portals and begun sending SMS notifications and emails to successful applicants with instructions on how to access their admission letters and joining documents.

Mount Kenya University (MKU), Kenyatta University, Kenya Methodist University (KeMU), and St. Paul’s University have confirmed that admission letters and registration instructions will be released in the coming days.

Admission letters are among the most important documents first-year students need before reporting to campus, as they contain details on the program they have been admitted to, reporting dates, fee payment instructions, registration requirements, and orientation.

While the process differs slightly from one university to another, most institutions follow a similar procedure.

General Steps to Download Your University Admission Letter

Step 1: Confirm Your KUCCPS Placement

Before downloading your admission letter, ensure you have confirmed the university where you have been placed through the KUCCPS student portal or by checking the SMS or email sent by KUCCPS.

Step 2: Visit Your University’s Admission Portal

Students should visit the official website of the university where they have been admitted and go to the Admissions or First-Year Students section.

Most universities provide a dedicated admission portal for newly admitted students.

Step 3: Create a Student Account (Where Required)

Some universities require students to first create an online account before accessing their admission documents.

You may be required to provide personal information such as:

  • KCSE Index Number
  • National ID or Birth Certificate Number
  • Email Address
  • Mobile Phone Number
  • Date of Birth

Once your account has been created, you can log in to the student portal.

Step 4: Log In to the Admission Portal

Depending on your university, you may be required to log in using:

  • KCSE Index Number
  • Registration Number
  • KUCCPS Placement Number
  • National ID Number

Some universities use the student’s KCSE index number as the default password during the first login, while others provide login credentials through SMS or email.

Step 5: Download Your Admission Letter

After logging in, locate the Admission Letter or Joining Instructions section.

Download and print the following documents:

  • Admission Letter
  • Joining Instructions
  • Medical Forms
  • Registration Forms
  • Fee Structure
  • Accommodation Forms (where applicable)

Students are advised to keep both printed and electronic copies of the documents.
