University launches admission exhibition to guide students

KUWAIT: Kuwait University (KU) Director Dr Dina Al-Maim has reaffirmed the university’s commitment to helping students make informed academic choices through its “From Decision to Achievement” Admissions Campaign Exhibition, describing it as a key initiative to support prospective students ahead of university enrollment. Speaking on Thursday at the opening of the exhibition at The Avenues mall, Al-Maim said the event reflects the university’s dedication to empowering students during one of the most important stages of their academic journey. The exhibition runs until July 11 and is held in preparation for admissions for the 2026/2027 academic year.

The exhibition brings together Kuwait University’s colleges, supporting deanships and administrative departments to introduce students and parents to academic programs, admission and registration procedures, and the range of services available at the university. In her opening remarks, Al-Maim said the initiative provides students with a comprehensive platform to explore academic specializations, admission requirements and educational opportunities while engaging directly with university representatives. She noted that this enables students to make well-informed decisions that match their abilities, interests and future aspirations.

Al-Maim highlighted the participation of several government entities, including the Civil Service Commission and the Public Authority of Manpower, describing their involvement as an important example of cooperation between Kuwait University and state institutions. She said the partnership helps students make informed academic and career decisions by providing insight into labor market needs and future employment opportunities, allowing them to align their academic choices with national workforce requirements.

Al-Maim added that the exhibition supports Kuwait University’s strategy of promoting quality and excellence by enhancing student services and expanding community outreach, while reinforcing the university’s role in preparing qualified national talent capable of contributing to sustainable development. The exhibition is open daily from 10 am to 10 pm throughout its three-day run. Visitors can receive academic guidance, obtain information on admission and registration procedures, academic programs, equivalent grade point average calculations and other university services designed to help students transition confidently from selecting a major to beginning their higher education journey. – KUNA
