Ambedkar University begins UG registration, admissions to be based on CUET UG 2026 scores


Dr B R Ambedkar University Delhi has started UG and PG admissions for 2026-27 through CUET UG scores. The university has also introduced several new undergraduate and postgraduate programmes this year.

Dr B R Ambedkar University Delhi (AUD) has started admissions for its undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) courses for the 2026–27 academic session.

The Delhi government university will offer admission to 23 undergraduate programmes in the fields of social sciences and humanities, with 1,194 seats available. Admission to both three-year and four-year UG courses will be based on CUET UG 2026 scores under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.

Candidates must register through the university’s CUET UG admission portal. Before applying, they should carefully read the eligibility rules, reservation policy, fee details, admission guidelines, and important dates. The university has advised students to complete their registration before the last date and regularly check the official website for updates.

This year, AUD has introduced five new undergraduate courses and one-year postgraduate programmes in seven subjects under the Post Graduate Curriculum Framework (PGCF).

According to university officials, new PG courses include MA in Creative Writing and MA in Performing Arts (Theatre Arts). A new BA in Museology, Culture and Heritage Management has also been introduced and is considered one of the first university-level programmes of its kind in India.

The university has also launched a BA in Visual Arts. In addition, the earlier BA (Honours) Mathematics course has been replaced with a BSc in Mathematics, which will include a minor in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence.

Meanwhile, the National Testing Agency (NTA) announced the CUET UG 2026 results on June 23. Only one student scored a 100 percentile in four out of five subjects.

The NTA data also showed that 22 candidates secured 100 percentile in three subjects, 180 candidates scored 100 percentile in two subjects, and 3,214 candidates achieved 100 percentile in one subject.

This year, 7,74,607 women and 7,94,257 men registered for the exam. However, more women appeared for the test, with 5,85,596 female candidates compared to 5,78,500 male candidates. Two out of three registered third-gender candidates also appeared. In total, 11,64,098 candidates took the CUET UG 2026 examination.
