The first shift of Common University Entrance Test2026 for undergraduate admissions (CUET-UG) was delayed at some centres on Saturday (May 30, 2026) owing to a technical glitch, causing stress to hundreds of students and their parents. Over 3,700 candidates, who had completed biometric registration, left without taking the test.
“Earlier today, some centres faced a technical glitch that delayed the start of Shift 1. We know this was stressful, and we’re sorry for the anxiety it caused. The technical service provider, TCS iON, has been asked to conduct a root-cause analysis and submit its report immediately,” said the National Testing Agency (NTA).
