Delhi University admissions: UG second round seat allotment out, PG spot applications open


Delhi University (DU) has released the Round 2 seat allocations for undergraduate (UG) programmes and opened applications for the spot round of its two-year post-graduate (PG) programmes. Candidates must complete the required admission formalities within the deadlines announced by the university.

As many as 88,584 candidates are participating in the Round 2 admission process. Of these, 24,814 candidates have received fresh seat allocations, while 30,682 have been upgraded to a higher preference. As many as 15,265 candidates have frozen their allotted seats.

Candidates allotted seats in Round 2 must accept these by 11.59 pm on Sunday, July 26. After accepting their seats, they must complete the remaining admission formalities and pay the prescribed fee. The deadline for fee payment is 11.59 pm on Tuesday, July 28.

In a separate admission update, DU has opened its portal for applicants seeking admission through the spot round for its two-year post-graduate programmes.

Candidates who are not holding a seat in any programme when the spot round allocation is announced will be eligible to apply for the programme concerned. Eligible candidates can submit applications for the post-graduate spot round until 4.59 pm on July 26.

With the Round 2 undergraduate allocations now live and spot round applications underway for two-year post-graduate programmes, the university has advised candidates to complete the relevant admission formalities within the prescribed deadlines to avoid missing the opportunity for admission.
