DU admission 2026: University warns students to submit only valid admission documents

The University of Delhi has issued a notice stating that several candidates applying for various undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) programmes have been uploading AI-generated, digitally altered, or heavily edited documents.

In the notice, the university warned that such practices undermine the integrity of the admission process. It further directed all candidates to comply with the following instructions with immediate effect:

  • Document Authenticity: All certificates, mark sheets, and identity proofs must be scanned copies of the original documents without any digital modifications or editing.
  • Verification Checks: The University will employ advanced verification tools to detect manipulated media.

The notice further states that failure to comply with these guidelines will result in the immediate rejection of the candidature.

If a candidate is found to have used fraudulent or AI-altered media at any stage of the admission process, their registration/admission will be cancelled without prior notice. The university reserves the right to initiate legal action. No fees shall be refunded in such cases.
