DU to release first UG allotment list; 2:08 lakh in race for 71,624 seats

This year’s admissions saw the highest number of registrations since the CSAS portal was introduced in 2022.

• Record competition for seats

Over 2.08 lakh candidates are competing for 71,624 undergraduate seats, creating nearly three applicants per seat.

• Top programme preferences

BCom (Honours) remains the most sought-after programme, followed by BA (Honours) Political Science and BSc (Honours) Zoology.

• Shift in college preferences

Dyal Singh College and Sri Venkateswara College entered the top six preferred colleges, while SRCC and Miranda House dropped out.

• Women dominate registrations

Women account for 55% of verified applicants, with 1,20,509 women and 97,775 men completing Phase I registration.
