Delhi University has released the first UG admission list for 2026. Over 93,000 students received seats and must accept their allotment by July 18 to confirm admission.
Delhi University has published the first UG admission list for 2026. In the first round, more than 93,000 candidates have been offered seats across 221 undergraduate courses in 67 colleges, covering 1,393 course-college combinations.
A total of 2,18,284 candidates registered for this admission round, and 93,033 students received seat allotments. Among them, 42,019 are male candidates and 51,014 are female candidates. The overall seat allocation rate is 86.1%.
The university considered over 1.59 crore unique course and college preferences submitted by students while preparing the first allotment list.
Under the special categories, 1,243 single girl child candidates and 242 orphan candidates (109 boys and 133 girls) were allotted seats.
According to the university, the seat fill rate is 99.9% for the General category, 96% for OBC, 95.2% for SC, 92.7% for EWS, 67.3% for ST, and 23% for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD).
Candidates who have received a seat must accept their allotment by 11:59 PM on July 18, 2026, and complete the fee payment within the given deadline.
Students who want a better preference in the next round can select the “upgrade” option and rearrange their higher course or college preferences until 11:59 PM on July 21, 2026.
After paying the admission fee, candidates can choose either “Upgrade” or “Freeze”. Those selecting “Upgrade” can change the order of their higher preferences as many times as they want before the deadline of the current admission round.
