Jagannath University (JnU) has finalized the schedule for the 2026–27 admission tests for first-year Bachelor (Honours) and BBA programmes.
Online applications will open at 12 noon on November 15 and close at 11:59pm on December 10. Admission tests will be held in five units from January 1 2027. All tests will be conducted from 10am to 11am in Dhaka and will use a multiple-choice question (MCQ) format.
The schedule was approved at the 80th Academic Council meeting on Sunday, August 9, chaired by Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Md Raish Uddin.
The Unit-A test, covering the Faculty of Science and Life and Earth Sciences, will be held on January 1. Unit-E (Fine Arts) will be held on January 8, Unit-B (Arts and Law) on January 15 Unit-C (Business Studies) on January 22 and Unit-D (Social Sciences) on January 23.
Applicants must have passed SSC or equivalent in 2023 or 2024 and HSC or equivalent in 2026.
Minimum GPA requirements:
- Unit-A: Combined GPA 7.00 minimum 3.00 in each exam
- Unit-B: Combined GPA 6.00 minimum 2.75 in each exam
- Unit-C: Combined GPA 6.50 minimum 3.00 in each exam
- Unit-D: Combined GPA 6.00 minimum 2.75 in each exam
- Unit-E: Combined GPA 5.50 minimum 2.50 in each exam
The university has formed central and unit-based admission committees to oversee the process. Academic activities for newly admitted first-year students are scheduled to begin on April 4, 2027.
