Mumbai University has extended the UG and PG admission registration deadline to August 12, 2026. Students should complete applications, upload required documents, and follow their college admission process before the deadline.
The University of Mumbai has extended the last date to apply for undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) admissions for the 2026-27 academic session. Eligible students can now complete their registration through the official Samarth admission portal until August 12, 2026.
The extended deadline gives another chance to students who could not submit their applications earlier. The university has advised candidates to complete the process before the deadline to avoid last-minute technical problems.
Admissions are being carried out online for various UG and PG courses offered by the university’s teaching departments and affiliated colleges. Along with registering on the Samarth portal, students must also complete the admission process required by the college they wish to join.
During registration, candidates need to enter their personal and academic details, upload the required documents in the correct format, and finish all admission formalities within the revised schedule. Students should regularly visit the admission portal and their respective college websites for course-specific updates, merit lists, and document verification dates.
Additional Merit Lists May Be Released
The university has said that affiliated colleges may publish extra merit lists if seats remain vacant after the scheduled admission rounds. These lists will be prepared based on available seats and the eligibility rules of each course.
The university also clarified that registering on the Samarth portal alone does not guarantee admission. Students must also submit the online or offline application forms required by their chosen colleges, wherever applicable.
Candidates applying for UG, PG, and other eligible courses should use the extended deadline to check their application details, upload any pending documents, and complete all remaining admission formalities before August 12.
Mumbai University will continue the admission process as per the revised schedule. Further updates, including merit lists and counselling information, will be announced through the official admission portal and participating colleges.
