The Re-NEET counselling 2026 is divided into two types: central or national and state counselling. The NEET central counselling is conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee for admission to the 15% All India Quota seats.

The NEET SC category cutoff 2026 is at 212 to 177 marks at the 40th percentile. As compared to the previous year, the official SC cutoff for NEET 2026 is higher, reflecting an increase in the qualifying marks.

MCC conducts NEET UG counselling 2026 in four rounds, including round 1, 2, 3, and a stray vacancy round.

For NEET UG counselling 2026, the reservation policy of the Government of India is applicable. 

According to the reservation policy, for the Central Universities and Institutions, 10% of the seats are reserved for the category General-Economically Weaker Section (GEN-EWS), 15% of the seats are reserved for the category Scheduled Caste (SC), 7.5% for the category Scheduled Tribe (ST), 27% for the category Other Backward Classes belonging to the Non-Creamy Layer (OBC-NCL) and 5% seats (Horizontal Reservation) for PwBD candidates.

For admission to medical colleges, MCC’s All India Merit List of the qualified candidates will be prepared based on All India Rank (AIR), and candidates will be admitted to UG medical courses from the said list only, with the existing reservation policy.
