LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — Nevada State University and Clark County School District announced a districtwide expansion of the Direct Admissions Program (DAP) for all eligible CCSD students, allowing more guaranteed admissions into Nevada State.
This makes Nevada State the first higher education institution in Nevada to guarantee admission to every graduating senior in CCSD, with no application required and no application fee.
The program was launched in 2024 at three schools: Rancho High School, East Career and Technical Academy, and Desert Oasis High School.
DAP simplified the college admissions process by providing eligible students with direct admission without an application and additional support during college.
Since the program started, more than 400 students have been admitted, a 30% increase in enrollment, according to Nevada State.

“All CCSD students will graduate with a marketable asset and a plan for what to do after high school,” says CCSD Superintendent Jhone Ebert. “By removing barriers to college admission and creating a seamless transition, we are helping more students confidently pursue college and the opportunities that follow.”
This expansion comes as more colleges and universities nationwide are adopting the program to make the college admission process easier for students.
