DAV PG College officially commenced the admission process for the Undergraduate first semester for BA, BCom and BSc programmes for the 2026-27 academic session on Tuesday. During a meeting chaired by principal Kaushal Kumar, it was decided that admissions will be based on NTA scores and the subjects selected by students through the Samarth portal and the college portal.
The college recently received a merit list from HNB Garhwal Central University (HNBGU) in Srinagar, consisting of students who passed the NTA exam with valid scorecards and opted for DAV PG College. The college administration uploaded the merit lists for various subject groups and combinations of 21 subjects available under the faculties of arts, commerce and science on its official website on Monday afternoon.
Officials stated that students who filled out the admission form using their valid NTA scorecard on the college portal, with correct subject selections aligned with their registration on the Samarth portal, were admitted on Tuesday by various admission committees on campus. The admission process will provide seats in the Undergraduate First Year classes, according to current applications received from the university, which include 901 BA seats, BCom 763 seats, 271 BSc Maths (PCM) seats, among others.
The admission process will be open daily from 10:30 AM to 2 PM until August 1. If any seats remain vacant, the admission period will be extended as needed, officials indicated.
Admissions coordinator JP Mehta said that students interested in admission should visit the DAV College website, fill out their online application, take a printout and present it to the admission committee along with their original documents. On the first day of admissions, a total of 72 students were admitted by the college’s various admission committees.
