The University of Allahabad has thrown open registration for its Bachelor of Arts (BA) and Bachelor of Education (BEd) programmes for the 2026-27 academic session. Aspirants can complete the AU UG admission process on the Samarth admission portal at alldunivcuet.samarth.edu.in/ncet, with the application window shutting on July 15, 2026. Crucially, seats will be filled strictly on the basis of the CUET-UG 2026 score conducted by the National Testing Agency — so only candidates who appeared for CUET and named Allahabad University as a preferred institution can move ahead.
Every stage — registration, profile updation, programme selection and fee payment — has to be wrapped up before the July 15 cut-off. Candidates eyeing more than one course can apply to as many as they like, but the registration fee has to be paid for each programme separately.
AU UG admission 2026: A two-phase process
The University has split the admission process into two clear phases on the Samarth portal:
-
Phase 1 — Registration & profile update: Create your account and fill in personal and academic details.
-
Phase 2 — Programme selection & fee payment: Choose your preferred programme(s) and pay the applicable fee.
Both phases stay live until July 15, after which the portal will stop accepting fresh applications.
How to apply for Allahabad University BA, BEd 2026 — step by step
- Go to the official Samarth portal: alldunivcuet.samarth.edu.in/ncet
- Register using your basic details (a valid email ID and mobile number are needed for verification).
- Complete profile updation under Phase 1.
- Move to Phase 2, select your programme and pay the registration fee online.
- Submit the form and download/save the confirmation page for future reference.
Registration fee
The University has fixed the registration fee at ₹300 for UR/OBC/EWS applicants and ₹150 for SC/ST/PwD candidates, and it is payable for every course selected on the portal. The fee is non-refundable, and only applicants who register, update their profile and pay the fee after programme selection will be considered for counselling.
Subject combinations
The University has laid out the subject combinations across its UG streams:
-
BA: 83 subject combinations on offer, of which candidates must pick a minimum of 40 preferences.
-
BSc (Mathematics): 14 combinations, and all 14 must be selected.
-
BSc (Biology): 12 combinations, and all 12 must be selected.
A useful detail applicants often miss: in each combination, the first and second subjects are treated as the major subjects while the third is the minor. The University has clarified that the combination a candidate is finally offered will depend on seat availability at the time of allotment.
