Banaras Hindu University (BHU) has officially opened the BHU Admission 2026 Through CUET UG registration window for undergraduate programmes, allowing candidates who cleared CUET UG 2026 to begin their counselling process. The registration link went live on 9 July 2026 and will remain open till 25 July 2026 at 11:59 PM, on the university’s centralised admission portal. Only candidates with a valid CUET UG 2026 scorecard are eligible to apply, and registration on this portal is mandatory for anyone hoping to secure a seat, regardless of how high their score is.
Who Can Apply for BHU UG Courses
BHU Admission 2026 Through CUET UG, undergraduate programmes — including BA, BSc, BCom, BFA, BPA, and several honours courses — is offered through the Combined Allotment Programme (CAP-UG), based entirely on normalised CUET UG scores. Candidates must have appeared in the relevant CUET UG papers as prescribed for their chosen course and must meet BHU’s programme-specific eligibility criteria. Importantly, personal details such as name, date of birth, and category must exactly match the CUET UG application, as any mismatch could lead to cancellation of candidature.

Steps to Complete Counselling Registration
Candidates can complete the registration process by following these steps:
- Visit the official BHU admission portal.
- Click on the ‘New Registration’ option for CAP-UG 2026.
- Enter your CUET UG 2026 application number and date of birth to log in.
- Fill in the required personal, academic, and category details.
- Upload the necessary documents, including your CUET UG scorecard and Class 12 marksheet.
- Pay the registration fee and submit the form for further processing.
Course Preferences and Seat Allotment Process
Once BHU Admission 2026 Through CUET UG registration is complete, candidates will be required to enter their course and college preferences in order of priority — there is no upper limit on the number of preferences that can be filled. The university strongly advises candidates to include multiple backup options, since seats are allotted automatically based on CUET UG normalised score, preference order, and category.
After each allotment round, candidates who receive a seat can choose to Freeze the offer, Float to stay eligible for an upgrade, or opt to Upgrade entirely for a higher preference. Those satisfied with their allotted seat must pay a commitment fee by the specified deadline to confirm admission, failing which the offer may lapse. Aspirants are advised to keep their documents ready and complete registration well ahead of the closing date to avoid last-minute technical glitches.
